Coaches, it is extremely important to remember as a coach or an assistant coach, you are more than a teacher, you are a role model.  Being a good coach is about more than just winning games! 

Before you start a practice session or a game, ask yourself “is what I plan on doing today in the best interest of the kids”.  Recreational soccer is a means of building a child’s confidence through team sports.   It is very important, especially at the younger ages (U5-U10), that you keep the child interested in playing soccer and having fun with their teammates.  The number one goal is to create an enjoyable experience for all of your players.
